Mt Hood Dining and Shopping Guide

Here is the link for the Mt Hood Dining and Shopping Guide in the Villages of Mt Hood and Government Camp.  This might be a good resource when planning runs and events or for offering attendees places to eat.

I will see if we can get some actual brochures to put in the goody bags, otherwise we can print them.

Upcoming Road Closures 2015 Around Mt Hood

Closure of lanes and 20 min and 1hr delays between Kiwanis Camp Road and the west end of Government Camp from April 1st until Oct 31 this year. They are also running heavy trucks on Lolo Pass Rd and Trillium Rd.
Check out the website below for more information, it looks like they will have a schedule and we can work around that.

Runs Committee To Do:

Needed are people willing to layout runs, write up descriptions of their runs, research roads and do check outs for the runs, making sure there are rest stops, etc. We need run leaders and sweep cars for all runs. Runs need to be checked to be sure we won’t run into bicycle events or other club events for the enjoyment of all. Most of the run committee will need to be present for the event, but we welcome input from all on favorite roads, restaurants, and will need people to do a pre-run on another weekend or two to verify everything works and is signed properly.  We want a variety of half day runs and full day runs.

DIRECTIONS/MAPS:
  • Speed on runs
  • Run routes in Miles and Kilometers

RUNS:
  • Friday runs
  • Saturday runs
  • Sunday short run or run back to Portland
  • Local landmarks and scenery
  • Research roads, run options
  • Coordinate teams
  • Coordinate run schedules
  • Make sure all runs have needed info and handouts
